Upcoming Course The next course to take place will be the Development Coaches Course on June 12th 2010.

Development coaches are the most important people in tennis development. They promote tennis at the grass roots level and introduce tennis into schools and clubs through modified programs. The emphasis is placed on fun and participation whilst learning so young players remain in the sport.

TCAWA is a non-profit organization working with the Western Australian tennis community to ensure that coaches receive the highest quality training, abide by Code of Ethics and have a minimum standard of coaching skill.

We are ‘run by the coaches of Western Australia for the coaches of Western Australia.’

TCAWA has been running for over 40yrs. Recently due to pressures from Tennis Australia, Tennis Coaches Australia was forced to amalgamate its members. This left tennis coach membership and accreditation in the control of Tennis Australia and therefore without an independent voice for the coaches. Several states including Western Australia moved to rectify this and reformed as an alternative coach education and membership provider, and importantly, as an independent voice from the controlling body of tennis in Australia (Tennis Australia). A voice for the coaches of Western Australia!
